Love Me If You Dare

Coral Cove:  Book 2

Love Me If You Dare is a sweet romance that made me ache and smile in turn. I fell in love with Reece and Cami and all the other quirky characters of Coral Cove. Such a feel-good story I’d recommend it to anyone.Long and Short Reviews, 4 1/2 STARS

When the question is love, the answer is always yes…

You can’t go too far when you’re fighting for love…Camille Thompson is the best at what she does—closing deals. That's why real estate developer Vanderhook has sent her to Coral Cove, Florida, where the stubborn owner of the Happy Crab Motel is refusing to sell. Camille's never had a problem turning a "no" into a "yes," but then she's never been so captivated by a man's sexy smile before.

Laid back Reece Donovan likes life simple. No amount of money—or any other temptation Camille can offer—will convince him to give up the one link to his past. Of course, it would be easier without the powerful chemistry raging between them.

As a fragile romance begins to grow, can Reece trust Camille with his secrets? And when promises are broken, along with hearts, can the charm of Coral Cove help bring them back together?

A Note from Toni

Love Me If You Dare is a book that's been long in the making. Not unlike All I Want Is You, the first book in the Coral Cove series, it's a story I conceived many years ago. In fact, I even wrote a book in the late 90s that contained many of the elements in this story - but it never saw the light of day as it had pretty many plot problems, me being a much less experienced writer then. But some of the core ideas and characters stayed alive in my mind all this time, and I've been waiting for the just the time, just the right setting, just the right circumstances to recreate what I loved about that original story, only in a better way. And thus Love Me If You Dare was born.

Reece, Camille, and Fifi the giant iguana were all in that original book, even with the same names, as was The Happy Crab Motel, the boat named the Lisa Renee, and even Reece's older friend, Riley. Fifi and Camille met in the same way they do in Love Me If You Dare, and if you've read the book, you'll understand why I wanted to save that scene. So I'm delighted to have been able to take something I created a long time ago and give it new life -and that now, all these years later, readers finally get to meet the Reece and Camille who have been in my head all this time!

I loved writing this book - I wrote it in the dead of winter, much of it while a thick icepack and lots of snow covered the ground, and it was a wonderful mental escape. The book almost seemed to write itself, probably because I already knew these characters so well.
